It's official. I was accepted as a vendor for the Brentwood Art Wine and Jazz Festival. Yahoo. I am so very excited. This will be my second show. It should be lots of fun. For those who would like to come
by and say "Hi", I have listed the details below. Besides my Iris note-cards, prints and bookmarks, I have some new products that I have added to my inventory such as calendars and greeting cards. Also I
have finally come up with my logo and mascot. He is just way too cute. My "new"  mascot name is DB(Dragon Bones). Anyhow just lots of things going on and having to get my butt in gear to complete the
remaining products for the show.

Show Information:

Brentwood Art Wine & Jazz Festival
September 29 10 AM to 7 PM
September 30 11 AM to 6 PM
Located at Brentwood City Park in downtown historic Brentwood

If you are in the area or have nothing better to do, come visit my little town of Brentwood. Have a glass of wine, listen to the music and admire the artwork. You can even pick up a few gifts for the
upcoming holidays. It is a nice little community.  My friend, Judi Tometich has graciously given up her weekend and offered her assistance at the show. My last show, I learned you need a buddy so you can
take a few "breaks".   Thanks Judi!

I hope that this finds you all healthy and happy. Enjoy life. Every day is a gift. Love and hugs to you all and a huge thank you for all of your support and encouragement. I couldn't of done it without you.
Thanks.

Well, I have been a busy little lady as of late.  I added a new offering to my website "Custom Photo Collages".  I received allot of positive feedbacks on my personal collages so I decided to add it to my bag
of tricks. Right now, I am taking the business at my pace which is day by day. The sales are intermittent but I am happy to get any orders since I not really pushing the marketing like I should. I am
extremely pleased with the sales and for those who bought, I hope you are enjoying your purchases. Again, I thank you for choosing DragonStarCreations.
I will be doing the Brentwood Jazz, Wine and Art Festival at the end of September. It is a 2 day event that will allow me to show my work again.  I am hoping it will be as successful as the Art Walk. I
will let you know how it goes. I don't have any other events planned at the moment but who knows what will come up. I have had lots of suggestions but haven't taken the time to check them out. Since I
am still working my regular job, I don't want to burn myself out. This has been a labor of love and I want to continue doing this as long as I am able.  Time will tell.

April 30, 2007

The Art Walk was a huge success as far as I was concerned. Needless to say, I was a nervous wreck Saturday morning. A special thanks to Lee and Louie Lopez for helping me set up and take down
everything. They were the best.  Also a special thanks to the people that came out to support me. Cassie, Deb, Debra, Jean, Kevin, Sandy, Shelley, Mary and Michael. It was so special that you took the time
out of your day. I sold over $300 in products, made some new friends and business contacts. I had 3 offers to display my products in their stores. I will need to get more details but will let you know as this
develops. I am just flattered that they asked me. Incredible. As you can tell I am still flying pretty high. My goal today is to get my store up on my web site. Wish me luck and again thanks to everyone for
all your words of encouragement as I follow this new road that I have chosen!! Thanks so much. BTW, check out the picture of my Art Walk display picture  below and my new page "My Garden".

Entry for April 1, 2007

Hi All,

Just a little update. I will be showing in the Brentwood Art Walk April 28 (Saturday).  It will be a sidewalk exhibit in downtown Brentwood from 10 AM to 3 PM.  If you are in the area, please come by
and say "Hi". I would love to see you. I decided  against the Corn Fest this year but maybe next year. I hope to be at the Jazz and Art Festival. I will let you know.
I am still working on my store but hope to have it up within the next two weeks. Keep your fingers crossed. I know how I want it to appear and now I just have to make it happen. Wish me luck!
Again thanks to everyone for all their support and encouragement. I really appreciate all your suggestions and ideas. It is incredible!

Live Love and Laugh!!

Entry for March 23, 2007

Hi All,

I am still working on my projects that will be for sale. I am almost there. I just need to get some packaging materials together first then I can get my "store" filled.  I have my resellers and business license.
Only need to get my fictitious business license.

I am going to take an online web store class at the end of month to assist me with my store design.  In April, I signed up for a mat and frame making shop in Santa Cruz.  Also going to make it a fun time
by visiting my good friend, Gail in Santa Cruz.

I am still undecided about the shows I will be exhibiting in this year. I am considering the Brentwood Art Walk April 28th, Brentwood Corn Fest in July, Brentwood Wine and Art Festival September 28th
and 29th and the Craft festival in Sacramento in September.  I will let you know once I have decided.  Maybe you can come by for a visit.

That is all that is happening at the moment.  I am still waiting for merchandise so I can complete my note cards, prints and bookmarks. I have quite a few other design ideas on the drawing board but not
ready yet.  At least I have 3 ready.

Thanks for checking in.  Live, Love and
most important Laugh!!

Hard to believe it is already 2008.  Last year was pretty good for my little adventure. I did 1 major show and 2 minor ones. I was pretty pleased with the response and sales.
This year I am currently in the midst of planning my shows for 2008. As I get accepted, I will be posting it here with dates, times and locations. Hopefully, I should have 7
events. Time will tell.
Currently working on several new projects for 2008. Keep an eye out for a new Iris collection, Day Lily collection and Grapevine collection. I am also doing some paintings that at
this time will be offered at my shows. I have one that is about 95% completed and a second one at the beginning stages. I am happy that I am able to get back into my painting.
I am also working on some other projects but if they come to fruition then I will post it here. Keep checking often.
Wishing everyone a healthy and happy 2008!!

My goal now is to add some of my new items to the website so I hopefully will have that done before the Brentwood Iris Festival which is April 19. I am very excited about this
since it is the first one locally and my first show for the year. Then two weeks from Saturday, I will be having a booth at the Livermore Wine Festival on May 3 and 4th. Now,
that is going to be a big one.  They expect 120,000 people. Whoa!! Hope I can make some sales. At this writing this is what is planned for the remainder of the year. If
accepted, I will have a booth at the Cherry Festival in Linden on May 17; Clovisfest in Clovis on 9/20 & 9/21; Brentwood Art and Wine Festival on Oct.12 & 13 and Summerset
Xmas Boutique in Brentwood on November 1. My friend, Lee Lopez who is teaming up with me at most of these shows and will be selling her hats. We may have a Xmas
Boutique at my house in December. We will see how it goes. Right now, I am pretty optimistic about the year. I hope to see some of you out at the shows and if you want more
information regarding the events, please contact me at sherry@DragonStarCre8.com.

I have a new character to compliment DB. I will be posting her on my website. She will be DB's partner in crime and best friend. Both her and DB have been submitted to the US
copyright office for copyright. I hope I completed and submitted everything that is needed. I am very happy with the way that part of my business is going. My dream for the
two of them is to have a story about them which I will write, illustrate and publish in hand made books. This one will really keep me busy. I want to thank everyone that has
contributed to the storyline and characters. Check out my home page for a look at our new friend!!
Now, I need to get started on uploading some of my latest creations. This can take some time since it has been awhile. Oh joy!
As always have a good one and be careful out there!

The Brentwood Iris Fe
stival was a success. At least I think so. The only thing I can say that was a little bad was that the wind was horrendous but we managed after a few blow
downs. Tony and Maitlyn Dittmore were extremely gracious hosts. For their first event it went pretty well. My friends, Lee and Louie Lopez were fantastic. Lee came out and
stayed with me all day plus helped me set up and her husband, Louie came out later and helped tear it all down and pack it up!  I probably would have still been there if it
hadn't been for them. What great friends! A huge thanks go out to them!!!There was a pretty good turnout and we are hoping there will be more next year especially as the word
gets out how well this one was done. I met some wonderful people and a fellow artist, Nancy Roberts who turned me onto some new opportunities. What a great person and
artist. She has done some beautiful work. Of course, the irises were spectacular in bloom. It couldn't have been better timing. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get out and take
pictures of them but plan on going back this weekend. I may add them to my blog. If you are in the area, plan on stopping by Brentwood Iris Farm for a beautiful treat.

Now, I am working on items for the Livermore Art and Wine Fest May 3 and 4th. That is expected to be a big one. Since most of my stuff is done and packed, hopefully it won't
be as stressful getting ready for this one. It will be interesting to see how it goes. I have never displayed at such a large gathering. If you are in the area, please stop by and say
"Hi". I am in booth S6.

Well, back to work on my web store. Been working on it all day but still have some order issues that need to be resolved but the new products are on there now. So I send my
apologies in advance if you have nay issues.  If you need to order anything, just email me at sherry@dragonstarcre8.com. As always thanks for your encouragement and support!!

Livermore Wine Festival was a success in my book. I had several friends come by and lots of people came in and looked. I met some really
nice people that I hope to see again. The booth looked really nice and I attached some pictures that I took so set up will be easier next time.
It is getting a little easier but I just have too much stuff. Maybe I need to consider the less is better philosophy. Yea, like I would do that.I
always need to have more just in case you run out but I am working on that. Again, my friends Lee and Louie Lopez were there for me.
They helped me tear things down and set up. My sister, Sandy and brother-in-;aw, Marty came by on Sunday and helped me tear down
and pack up. It was so very special of them to help me. I am so lucky to have such great family and friends. I would probably still be
there if it wasn't for them. I have one more show on May 17 in Linden. It is only for one day.I am going to try and tone it down for that
one. Hopefully things will be as good there. Then there are few months before the next one in September in Clovis which I am still
considering. I have to recruit help before I do it. It is just too hard doing it by yourself let alone not having those potty breaks. I did send
off my application for the Brentwood Wine Fest in October. Lee found about another good one in December but she is checking it out so
that might be another one added to the schedule. I will keep the shows updated here as I know. In the meantime, take care and celebrate
the day!

DragonStarCreations "News"

The Cherry Festival in Linden was a success in my book. I had made enough sales to cover my entry fee and half a tank of gas plus
some leads on some potential business at the local wineries in Lodi! Yahoo! Boy was it a HOT one. 102 degrees to be exact. It was a
bear packing it all up in that heat but glad to get in the air conditioned car on the way home Cranked the air up high!! It was nice this
time to have a booth right next to my buddy, Lee. She also had a good day so I am very happy. I know I could not have done the shows
this year without her and her husbands help!

No more shows until September(I think). I did get word that I was accepted for the Brentwood show so thrilled. Sending in my
application this week for the Almaden Valley so hope that one will happen. I decided against the Clovisfest this year. The expense
associated with it doesn't fit into my budget this year. Maybe next year will be better. I added some exhibits to the schedule that I
decided to submit some of my photos and art work in. See schedule above. If you would like location information, just send me an email
for the information. I will keep you updated as my shows are confirmed. Please check back often.

I am going to try and add a couple of new products to the store this week so check it out. Again, I want to thank all of you that have
supported and encouraged  me. It is a blessing to know such wonderful people. I am truly blessed.

Celebrate each moment with a smile!

June 9, 2008
I have been quite busy lately getting ready for the photo and art shows. It is quite exciting. I have to enter everything this week. I
have been visiting a few wineries in the Lodi area thanks to a wonderful lady that I met at the Cherry Festival, Her name is Julie
Ballard and she is an angel. Thanks Julie! I will keep you updated if things develop. Check out my web store. I have added my Grape
prints and cards.  I still need to add the individual cards with rhinestones but have to do some photos first.  So many things to do.
That's it for now. Enjoy the day! Sherry
